I’ve already write some article about joomla and if you are a user of joomla then you must know that joomla is the best CMS and get award for best CMS. In this post I am not going to show you what is joomla , but want to show about Joomla mail setting.If you are advanced joomla user then I am sure you can do better after reading this post or without reading post. Because this post is for basic user.
When any one comment or send a mail by visiting your contact page then there is a option that “Send a copy yourself”. When visitor click this option then he will get a E-mail to his/her account and the sender will be “My Joomla” which is by default.
But you can customize this Text by yourself just following way.
- Go to Site---Global Configuration.
- Then go to Server
From bottom of the right side you can see Mail Settings. Write your desire text into From Name field.
- This text will show when any one send a mail or email from your site.
- And remember if you are not advanced then please leave the others field as it is.
- Default settings:
Mailer: PHP mail
Mail From: admin@mydomain.com
From Name: Site Administrator
Sendmail Path: /usr/sbin/sendmail
SMTP Auth:
SMTP User:
SMTP Pass:
SMTP Host: localhost
