How to Monitor My Network with Internet Traffic

Monitoring Internet  traffic on your network can help you understand bandwidth usage patterns and potential bottlenecks that could result in slowdowns. In addition, you may need to monitor Web browsing patterns to ascertain the kind of websites users are perusing and whether content filtering might be necessary to protect the integrity of your network. On networks powered by the Windows operating system, Microsoft Exchange Server User Monitor is designed to provide such insights. This Exchange-based program developed by Microsoft gives administrators a useful tool to monitor network traffic.
1 - Download “Microsoft Exchange Server User Monitor” from the link provided in the Resources section. Click the “Download” button to start the download and complete installation.

3 - Double-click “Program Files.”
4 - Double-click the “ExMon” folder. Double-click “Exmon.exe” to launch the program.
5 - Click the “Play” button to start running traces on active clients; click “Stop” to stop tracing active clients.
