How to Encrypt Files on a Drive With Windows

How to Encrypt Files on a Drive With Windows

Sensitive files may be stored on a computer  for safe keeping. Some users may be unaware that their PC could be compromised and those files stolen. If your data is very important or private, you should encrypt it to make sure no unauthorized users can access it. Encryption is a feature that is built into your copy of Windows.
1 – Navigate to the file you wish to encrypt on your drive. Right-click it and select “Properties.”
2 – Select the “General” tab and select “Advanced.”
3 – Place a check mark in the “Encrypt contents to secure data” box. Click “OK” twice to complete the process.
