How to Connect Two Monitors to View the Same Screen

How to Connect Two Monitors to View the Same Screen

One feature of the various ports included on computers  that many people enjoy is the ability to connect two screens together to display images. You can implement this trick when you want to display the same content to two different pints in a room or when you want to reiterate the subject of the image being displayed. Windows 7 operating system has a simple built-in function to allow you to easily stitch this feature on to use it.
1 – Locate the VGA ports on your computer or laptop that have three horizontal rows of pinholes. On computer towers these ports will be on the back of the tower while laptops will have them along one of the sides.
2 – Plug in your second monitor via its VGA cable into the available VGA port on your computer. The power should be off when you do this.
3 – Turn your computer on and wait for the displays to load. Duplicate the screen image by holding down the Windows and the “P” key at the same time. Choose “Duplicate” from the display options.
4 – Change the display to Duplicate manually by selecting “Screen Resolution” in the menu that comes up when you right click the desktop.
5 – Click on the drop-down menu that is next to the Multiple Displays header. Choose to “Duplicate” these displays.
You can use the other features of dual displays once you are comfortable with using both monitors.
Do not set your second monitor in a precarious or unstable position while it is connected to your computer as it could easily fall down and break.
